Elder dragonwasp?

Halfway through my third in-game year, and I've only found ONE elder dragonwasp so far, which I put into the museum to complete that - but I need three more to sell for the last visitor book. I visit the bug tree every day, check all the merchants, do pretty much nothing but chase bugs, and I haven't gotten another elder wasp in over a year (in-game). Am I missing something here?? Can't finish the game without these!

Yeah, I keep checking the tree but either RNGsus is really against me or I'm missing something. Supposedly it's also available through shops occasionally, but to go through several years in game with only one, definitely feels like something is off.

Everything is maxed, all skills leveled, this is literally the last thing I have left to do - get the last book to open the last balloon location. Hence the frustration - the only reason to keep playing is to find this bug!

RNG can be really frustrating with the catacomb tree--I only finished all bug merchant requests and filled the museum's bug section after about 2 years in game. Keep at it, and it'll happen. Plus, there is a upgrade to bug catching later which will make this way easier
