Missing Villager Iris (Bug?)
Possible Spoilers

----

I'm on year 2, and supposedly she is supposed to show up automatically during Winter but she never appeared. Anyone have any idea of how I get her to appear besides restarting my entire save :(

Must be a bug, Iris appeared and became a part of my town on Year 1 itself (I completed Winter, Year 1, just now). Did you play the "Queen Visit" event on the first week of Winter? Iris appeared as queen on that day, and the next day after that event she decided to quit being a queen and became a part of my town with a blueprint of her home.

Did you talk to her during the winter event?

I've not had any trouble getting Iris, she shows up during the winter event " A Queen Visits", however, Terric who usually shows up as well seems to have completely vanished and I cannot find him anywhere on recent playthroughs - my village and townsfolk are pretty much maxed out now and Terric has not shown up, yet I can buy all his house decor blueprints.
Any help would be appreciated.

Have you checked the sign in the town hall that calculates your town beauty?

My Thanks ephemeraltoast.

Terric has now turned up - I had checked the town beauty sign earlier in my playthroughs but Terric hadn't shown, I think it was because when i first checked it my town beauty score was below 3000. After I checked it again much later on (tbh I'd completely forgotten it was there until your post) and my score was over 3000, Terric appeared, problem solved.

The same thing happened to me. Iris never showed up in my town. I passed out in the forest the night before the first day of Winter, year 1 and woke up there instead of town. I never saw the event happen, so she never appeared.

The Queen Visits event is usually in the first week, but not on the first day of winter. Still, even if the event happens, you need to talk to Iris. I was able to get her, though I had to wait nearly a week after the visit event for her to come back and join the town.

Usually "The Queen Visits" event is around the 7 or 8th day of Winter so within the first two weeks of Winter. Yes, you do need to talk to Iris during this. As for Iris' next town appearance, it seems random to me - on one save she's shown up the next day, on another she showed up around a week later and other times she's not shown up until the following Spring. Just make sure you build her house ASAP. (This applies to most Townsfolk - not every villager is happy to wait/sleep outside in any weather or stay elsewhere. Zana, Lilith, Dark & Toby however, will remain even if they don't have a house. Zana is cool as long as you talk to her every so often, Lilith gets more "evil" the longer you leave her without a house, Dark is completely indifferent, and Toby hangs around happy as long as there is fish at either tavern or the market. (This is handy because it might take a while to get the materials to build Toby's House, Think Unlocking Master Forge - unless you get lucky with treasure chests or rare item merchants/casino prizes.)

Also, IME - if Iris doesn't show up or you don't talk to her in the first year (first time you get the event) you don't need to worry because the event will/should repeat each year until she joins your town. Although, this doesn't always work if you're already married to one of the townsfolk, not sure why, again it seems fairly random.
