question on laura's notebook

Hi guys, how long should I wait for the notebook to spawn? I've already waited 4 in-game days and it's still not showing up. Does it take a week?
I've also read from last year's post that it was invisible for a while, so I walked over every single tile in the map to make sure that wasn't the issue.

I can't 100% remember but I don't think I found it until it rained since the rain ruined it but I could be misremembering.
