I do agree that it's a bit annoying, especially since with the thing about keeping extra healing items.
i pretty much left atleast 1 empty per map, literally all but 3 doors were red(thankfully i realised that the crow camp and witches estate were due to the story elements) when i needed to start to searching for pots and while pothead does tell you which general area they're in he doesn't tell you how many; am i looking for one pot or 3? who knows unless i go back through a door, do i keep running through the map or die to get to a door and check and maybe have to go back through it all again
plus the cemetery has some really obscure ones due to the silent servants.
i will admit the doors losing the red glow is at least one nice quality of life thing but just a really tedious way to end the game
And after hours of post game collecting stuff, you don't get a final fight, it's not worth it.
It would have been nice if some NPC (the gravedigger, maybe?) called me out and said "Hey, you have a lot of seeds. You should put those in pots as you go and make the world a prettier place in these dark times. It might be nice to do, even if you feel like you don't need to consume anything." or something.
that would have been very helpful!
