That's a perfectly fine length.
Dev said in an interview its a linear narrative driven game with levels that are all hand crafted. He mentioned that the player has the freedom to explore the game world and the hub area, but i am betting that freedom is going to boil down to finding lore or collectibles or doing fetch/kill quests for NPCs that get the player lore/collectibles.
I doubt it has anything like rpg progression. Combat looks very one dimiensional. Puzzles looked pretty simple.
All in all for 18 dollars, meh could be worse.
That's a really fair length considering the artstyle and the pricing.
