Notes on Thunder Hammer:
The Hammer has a built in Chain Lightning effect.
When landing Light Attacks, Lightning will chain to enemies within a very short range, dealing ~58 Magic damage. This is most often experienced as a detriment to the player. When hitting 2 enemies with a single strike, the first enemy will take 120, while the 2nd target will only take 58 from the Lightning, and zero from the physical attack.
More interestingly, when a standing Heavy Attack is used, charged or uncharged, the Hammer will release Lightning upon every enemy in a larger area, dealing 115 Magic damage, even if the Attack itself doesn’t directly strike an enemy. When successfully landing the Heavy Attack on a target, the Lightning hits them as well.
Next, let’s go over Magic Spells and their empowered effects.
Arrow - 100
Empowered Long Charge - 200
Fire - 100 Pierces targets dealing full damage to each
Empowered Burn - 100 spread over 4 ticks
Bomb - 300 Dealt to all targets near the explosion
Empowered Safety - Reaper takes no damage
Hookshot - 10
Empowered Slash - 200 Physical regardless of equipped weapon
Note on Reaper’s Greatsword and Hookshot Slash:
All variants of the Hookshot Slash, along with the Greatsword’s Rolling Heavy attack, have a chance to inflict a Fear state on lesser enemies like Grunts, if they survive the attack. While in this state enemies will produce sweat droplets and actively run away from the player indefinitely, never attacking.
Finally, let’s cover Soul Vault damage upgrades.
Strength - Increases all Physical damage dealt by 20% per upgrade, capping out at 100%. This includes the Hookshot Slash. Projectiles knocked back at enemies also scale with this upgrade.
Magic - Increases all Magic damage dealt by 30% per upgrade, capping out at 150%. This includes Lightning produced by the Thunder Hammer.
Hopefully everyone can use this data to improve their enjoyment of Death’s Door, making use of weapons and spells you didn’t care to try out before.
