Any other games like this?
Can anyone recommend games similar to Death's Door? Games that include boss fights, rpg mechanics, puzzle etc.

It's not much of an RPG, isn't it? It's a metroidvania-style game, where you traverse the landscape, fight enemies, and aquire upgrades that change what areas you can access in previous locations.

Hollow Knight is an absolute masterpiece of a game, and has the same basic structure. The Ori games are nice too, but they lean more on platforming.

I meant RPG-lite mechanics like upgrading your character's skills.

I've already completed Hollow Knight but thanks for your recommendations anyway.

Darksiders and Darksiders 2; both are also heavily inspired by the Legend of Zelda series.

I would recommend you check out Hyperlight Drifter.

I also absolutely love Ori. It does have RPG elements, like McUrgd said, but it's true that it focuses on the platforming. But it's still a beauty of a game. Not a lot of boss fights in 1, but Ori 2 has a lot of them, and it's near impossible to choose which one is my favorite.

If you don't mind JRPGs, the Tales series has some good entries. You'll find bosses, puzzles, moveset customization, and some slight RPG elements in most of the entries. Not a lot of "tech trees" though from the entries I've played. You'll hear many different opinions on which one is the best. I grew up on Tales of Symphonia for the Gcube, so that's my bias. You'll see all of the elements you listed, plus neat dungeon crawling, in Symphonia.

Seconded. HLD is less forgiving and quite a bit more serious, but I'd argue it's more distinct than Death's Door.

Some people have compared this to Hollow Knight.

Also yes, the Ori games, especially Will of the Wisps is worth a look if you like this.

There's some real hidden gems on Steam. Hob is the most polished out of the below and probably the closest to Death's Door.

if you like the secret hunting and combat, definitely check out hyper light drifter. an absolute gem of a game. A couple of amusing parallels between the two games is how in both of them the east area is a waterlogged ruin with a frog boss, and how in the west you get regenerating crystals to power your guns/spells.

but other than that, both games have similar exploration and combat. In HLD you don't really have upgradable stats, but you can unlock abilities and outfits that modify some of your stats.

The difference is that in HLD there's no written dialogue at all. You have to figure out everything by yourself. The outfits thing, like, change your stats but the game doesn't tell you what they do. I was able to 100% death's door with no external help thanks to all the characters telling you what you've missed; in hyper light drifter you don't have anything of the sort and you must rely on guides or external tools.

In any case, if you enjoyed death's door there's a good chance you'll enjoy hyper light drifter. The music is a masterpiece as well!
