1 more seed and pot
I have 1 more seed to find, the only doors that are red are estate, camp and cemetery. Not one of those has the trowel lightning up when I enter the area. Pothead tells me the last place to plant is "the great cemetery in the south" but I have all 4 pots planted already. What am I doing wrong?

Pot head just tells you the pots to plant - the trowel when at night will glow blue if you are in the "zone" (walk through each door) to see if a seed exists there.

I have walked through all the zones at night and the trowel does not lit up at all

My last seed was in the Estate. I think to get Pothead to move, change the cycle back to night again. He was camped out by the Lunar challenge door thingy (presumably since that zone is where the pot was). He just said it was "somewhere in this garden", but he also acknowledged it was the last one. It was just one that I missed.

Walk through the locations on this guide then.
I have the same problem

If you don't want to use a guide and search literally every inch, just go ahead and finish the story and work on the true ending afterwards, it doesn't matter if you miss anything up to this point anyway.

You'll get red doors indicating that there's something in the area you missed. While that includes other objectives as well, it'll eventually narrow down the search.

Same here. I have only one pot left, I have picked up the last seed. Pothead says "In the Great Cemetery" but I did those four. Only the Cemetery, Free Crows, and Estate doors are still red.

Lost cemetery technically has 5. One is in the cave bottom left from the door you use to enter the cemetery (bow upgrade cave), you got that one, too?

There is also a pot in the area for the bomb upgrade chamber, to the far north-east of the zone.

Likely if you're missing one from the cemetery like I did, it's because Lost Cemetery glow also include the path to Stranded Sailor which some guide label as "Mountain zone" instead.

Go to stranded sailor, back track a little toward Lost Cemetery zone and whack the pile of boxes.

The missing seed(s) may also be a bug as was the case for me - likely due to some crashes I experienced. Below is how I identified the problem and solved it. Please note that this worked for my specific case and I was sure to back up my save files.

  1. Exited the game / ensured it's wasn't running
  2. Went to the save game location: C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\LocalLow\Acid Nerve\DeathsDoor\SAVEDATA
  3. Backed up the save folder
  4. Opened the .json file associated with the active save slot (e.g Save_slot1.json). It helped to format the json document so it was readable (I used VS Code)
  5. Found the entries seed_total_collected, seed, plant_count, stat_plants. These provided an indication that there was a problem. (In my case seed_total_collected was 50, seed was 0, and plant_count or stat_plants (I don't remember which or both) was 49. The game thought I had collected 50 seeds, but yet I possessed zero and still had one empty plant pot. Certainly a bug.)
  6. Opened the latest save file (e.g. Save_slot1.sav) in a Hex editor (I used VS Code with the MS Hex add in) (EDIT AT YOUR OWN RISK AND BACKUP YOUR SAVES!)
  7. Searched for the seed value. It occurs toward the end of the file. The search can be done a couple of ways:
    - Search the Text looking for:
    seed
and only the word seed. It should occur shortly after seed_total_collected
    or
    - Search the Hex for:
    73656564
which is the word 'seed' or
    7365656400
which is the word 'seed' followed by the value of 0 if you currently have 0 seeds in your inventory, otherwise adjust to your current inventory value.
  8. Edited the Hex value of 00 and changed it to 01 (use whatever Hex value solves your particular issue, for me I just needed that last one).
  9. Saved the changes
  10. Restarted the game

Once I did this I had the last seed in my inventory. I planted it in the last pot, received the related achievement, and was able to proceed with the remainder of the end game.

Hope this helps! I spent quite some time running around looking for that last seed until I realized it was probably a bug.
