Beat the final boss without realizing about sewers...

I kept looking for "sewer pipes" and "grates" that Jefferson mentioned the whole game without realizing they were those stone circles I kept seeing everywhere. I always thought they were teleportation circles or something, that I would unlock the ability to use later.

Never realized you had to jump attack on them! Woops.

this happened to me too. i read everything in the game and still didn't know about the severs untill i finished 2/3 of the game. i think a hint about the severs in early game would be nice..

EDIT: yeah i also thought that they are teleportation devices which can be used later and therefore ignored that pipes.

From the future and I think the developer needs to revisit this sewer issue. Possible fixes I see could be either have a required sewer to pass through in the beginning or a pop-up hint when you are near the sewers. The pop-up to me seems easier to implement since it is already used in the game.

Yuppp . I passed all the pipes for almost the entire game (I thought I had to hit them with a hammer or something - which obviously didn't work), so I had to backtrack a lot later on. There should of been some sort of dialogue or something to indicate their function.

I just beat the game, and thought the same exact thing. I even tried dropping onto them from a height without any success. Thanks for the confirmation!

I had the exact same experience when I played and since I had started the game on recommendation from a friend, i asked them about them since i had beaten the game without ever unlocking the ability to use the weird runes on the ground, after they corrected me calling them the sewers they pointed out they were always next to ledges, so i immediately figured it out from there, I love the sewers

I remember the sewers were driving me crazy so I ended up googling what to do with them. Found it funny I had the solution the whole time.

Totally agree, this could have been communicated better. In a game like this, people are just going to assume it will require some future ability.
