Report a translation problem
I'd recommend getting the power in each section, then immediately backtracking to the next area for the next ability, etc. It makes getting all collectibles easier since you can thoroughly get everything the (mostly) first time without having to backtrack too much. It also sequence breaks the story a bit, as people in area 3 refer to you beating the first two bosses. Kinda funny that.
Oh, and once you have the power, get the upgrade for them as well. The hookshot upgrade can be ignored mostly, but the bow upgrade is fantastic for damage efficiency per cast. I found the fire spell underwhelming compared to (upgraded) bow, but the ability to hit multiple opponents is good against those sections where 4 or more guys are right behind you. Such as the slimes in witch's basement.
