Is there a limit on how fast you can make time pass? (Mild spoilers)

I'm nearly 200 days into the game, and I've done just about everything that's possible to do up until my Shade's birthday. We've discovered every area of the cave, found the secret tower, entered the hidden door, etc. I have collected every crystal (except, apparently, for one that only appears on the Shade's birthday?, expanded the house, made a bed, etc.

I'm trying to make time pass more quickly for my Shade--I think right now it's about 32x faster (that is, roughly 32 seconds of game time pass per second of real time) when asleep and with a fire going. I've filled my Shade's cave with art and crystals (seriously it's ridiculous--I can post a screenshot later to show you if you want), and every day I wake up, I check on my Shade, and we go out to collect moss to weave more moss carpets to put in the cave.

But I'm wondering if we've hit a point where the moss carpets and drawings no longer make time pass quickly. The additional moss carpets my Shade has been weaving don't seem to make time pass any faster. Is there a limit? Or does it decrease exponentially with every moss carpet that's woven? Does anyone know?

The moss carpets are maxed out after 20 of them.

With pictures it's harder to tell, because they have different values. But overall they add up to a maximum of 10x, which is a minimum of 28 pictures.

There is one unique item I haven't seen in any screenshots of the game, that also adds a little...

Beautiful. Good choice with the paintings for the mushroom garden. I see you are missing a few books too. I'd recommend checking out a few places again for more, once you pass the 200 day hallmark.

You can progress time a lot faster by using the Neverending Notebook, since every new page you read skips time 1 minute forwards. I've got my book optimized for maximum pages, with each line containing only a single letter then two line breaks. This requires active play though, and be that careful you don't hurt yourself from using it.

Edit: Turns out it's stopped working after a bit, so there must be a limit to how much you can skip via this method.
