Problem with blue fire (SPOILERS)

I got the birthday achievement, but I didn't realise I needed to be AT the waterfall with the white crystals on the dot for the green crystal, so I lit up a blue fire to turn back time. When I noticed it was only going back 1 second at a time, at first I thought this was gonna be impossible because as soon as the fire is out, time starts moving again and I get 30 ingame seconds per real second, so I was losing more than I was gaining.

Then I found out flipping book pages made time go back faster. So I was able to go back enough to get to the waterfall, but apparently, turning time back doesn't put back the moss you accidentally picked up just trying to walk away from it... so I have to wait 2 weeks for the moss to grow back, or rewind time 2 weeks so the moss can grow back and I can be there.

I managed to go back a day and some 9 hrs, but for some reason, now it doesn't work anymore. I light up blue fire, pick a book and flip pages back since I've already gone through them all once and... time doesn't go faster anymore. No matter which book I pick (including the Time Machine, which sent me back like 9hrs, then nothing). I tried checking integrity of game files and all that did was reset the neverending notebook.

I left the Shade outside the home so time will just flow normally. Have I done something wrong? Am I missing something?

Worked once. I went back a little over a day. I relit the blue fire and I couldn't go back again.

That's intended, the boosts don't work after day 35, but I think you can still get the crystal, just wait for the moss to grow and then use the blue fire, it won't make the moss disappear

It actually did... I went to check, it was there, then I went back home to rewind time and went back, and it said the moss needed a few days to grow :/

Did you jump down to test it before using the blue fire? If you did then maybe you can send your problem in the bugfixes forum, a dev might you help you out

Yes, I did. I wanted to make sure. After blue fire rewind, the moss was gone. But I managed to get it done. I was rewinding a little past the 35days, and the time that passed was eventually enough to let the moss regrow.

EDIT: I thought being under the waterfall on the dot was gonna do something different. The crystal appeared, but... how do I get it? :/ It was already there before I tried all that rewind time to be there right at the 35days mark, I thought I had to be there to get it. But it's still up on top of the waterfall.

EDIT 2: nvm, I found another post about it. At 2 seconds before the 35 days mark, my game stuttered (does that sometimes) so I actually MISSED the 35:00:00:00 mark! Have to rewind time again!
