The thing is, if there were more secrets in the game, I think they would have achievements for them as well.
Yea me too, I have a few random ideas for something else.
What about the names "Lenght" and "Exit"?
Also, it is strange that you must have red/yellow/blue colors to paint this 3 pictures despite you can see white/red/blue colors on this pictures.
Also, there is one large crystal from secret tower. It emits a quiet melody. It seems similar melody you can hear in the 3 waterfalls room.
Some chemistry may be involved. In the secret tower you can see lot of bones and bone dust making mechanism. Bone dust is calcium, as well as chalk, white component you are using to paint. But you actually don't need this component for this strange painting, you need yellow, which is sulfur.
...
I have already tried different actions:
1) left Shade for 1 day in water in cave
2) I tried manipulations with different placement of crystals in the house (it seemed to me that the bath-cave in the house was somewhat similar to a strange cave with white crystals, so I tried to repeat the location of the crystals)
3) I tried to play some combination on the flute (there are only 4 tones on the flute, as I understand it, so there are not many combinations). The location of the white crystals from on left and on right (4 to the left and 2 to the right) or the height of the waterfalls give some room for inventing combinations.
4) I tried again to light sulfur in the house, hoping that this could, for example, affect another cave and change something in it.
5) I went back and forth across this cave, peering at every little thing.
I still can not understand the purpose of all this space of the cave. The rest of the “time-block” places have any practical significance, for example, endings, books, tips, achievements. And for this cave I do not see the destination, although it looks as if there should be something in it.
This puzzle with sulfur, which leads Shade to the secret tower. This give an achievement on which a tower is painted, in the center of which a crystal is painted. The crystal is different from the rest crystals and music emanates from it, which is the same as in this cave with white crystals. These paintings, which for some reason are painted with the wrong combination of colors (bug?). It looks like a chain of quests and tips that end in nothing. I do not understand.
I will leave Shade in this strange water reservoir for a longer period in the hope that this damned reservoir will fall under the weight of Shade as it was in the mine, I have no more ideas.
If there really is nothing there, then this will disappoint me.
My first idea (before I actually hit the 2 week timer) was that maybe the purpose of waterfall cave is to get mattock without opening the door above map room. I can't remember the conversation with the king, but I believe he mentioned that opening that door isn't allowed. Shade also constantly reminded that "king won't like my adventurous spirit" etc. while exploring the mines and heading towards surface. Shade's determination to serve king also seemed to be strengthened in the waterfall cave, due to "beauty being immortalized when the king wakes up."
Of course, I don’t like musical puzzles, where need to select the right “notes” (or tones, I don’t know how to call it right in this case), but I already tried to do this. As much as possible with a meager set of flute notes.

Of course, you can consider the pickaxe as the main goal of this cave, though this does not justify so many oddities about it.
And, of course, the cave can also be considered a means to obtain crystals (and achivement about them). But honestly, I have no questions, for example, to a small cave with black crystal, because this cave usually looks like.
But about the cave with white crystals I have a lot of questions. The game even slightly moves the camera away to demonstrate part of the cave with crystals. All that I can notice in this place is: a deepening under water, and mentally looking at the cave, my brain sees the numbers 4 (4 crystals on the left), 3 (3 waterfalls) and 2 (2 crystals on the right).
Fun theories, but I think we wasting time.
I also tried burning the crystal in the chimney with sulfur, nothing.
I cannot believe you have the option to burn it. However no source of fuel.
I had to go and check those paintings that were mentioned earlier.
On my screen, the white parts you mention are actually yellow, but it might be my monitor settings. Also the paintings are named "Long", "Secret" and "Gone." Now, the "Secret" painting is definitely the waterfall, no questions about it, but they way it's depicted seems kinda weird. Like it's painted through a cave opening in the foreground of the picture.
It's also worthy to note that no one has found more than one lapis lazuli (as far as I know) and to make the paintings, you need a blue color.
EDIT: Seems like others had same ideas
Has anyone thought of taking all the gold out of the treasure room? Lapis is very valuable, and what if it were there? It sounds just as stupid to collect all that gold as walking for hours through the halls of eternity or not?
