From my calculations, with good acceleration it should be possible to have gotten there without cheating by now. A few days ago, I don't think it was possible.

Yeah that seems to be the problem of this game. But is also because of how high quality its ambience is. I bet the devs wasn't expecting the players to play so intensively such a slow-paced game, but its atmosphere is so good that you cant stop exploring, discovering secrets, etc... till the only thing left to do is wait.

Im waiting for the birthday too, and then im gonna do a crazy thing: im gonna let the luck to decide Shade's fate, between two possible endings triggered on the same place, a horrible one, and a good one. Wish poor Shade luck :(

Seriously? You could be less than 2 actual days from being responsible and you'll wait until then to kick the bucket/not? I suppose the point of the game is for each to find their path.

SPOILERS (dont know how to put the spoiler tag lol)

Some weeks ago that would be a non-sense to me because of how attached i felt to Shade, but unfourtunately i've been without playing a lot of time, and that connection broke a bit. So, in the day of his birthday, Shade will die in a hole, or will live with a new family. Im a cruel adventure partner xD.

Besides, im doing it for my own amusement, lets not forget its a videogame and fun is the purpose. Still, i hope things turn well for Shade...

Oh btw, can anyone confirm if those endings are totally random? I mean, if the kid doesn't show up first always or something like that.

I'm pretty sure it's totally random. At one point, I did a backup of my save just in case and two minutes later, the kid showed up. Then I restored my save to see what would happened and waited for a long time and nobody showed up.

I don't know if it's random, but you can see the result before you commit.

I understand that Shade is a fictional character (as far as we know!) To me it is an exercise in self-discipline to take it to the end without any cheats. You can set a different standard of when the end should be of course, but then I wonder why you wait as long as the birthday. (To get the Achievement probably.) It seems to me the achievement is no more substantial than the character or how you treat either one. Perhaps self-knowledge is the only thing of any durability to come of the experience.

If I want to get this achievement, do I have to enter the game with 35 days left in the game?
I let him sleep all the time, and now there are 23 days left. Do I have to play it a second time to get that achievement? This will drive me crazy!
