Perhaps *pink* mushroom grows big if there're *green* ones next to them. I planted green one next to two pink ones (and at a place where pink was before) and one of the pink ones grew big (it was small beforehand). And I planted pink in the middle of green ones (and at a place where green one was before) and this pink one grew big.

Thank you guys for your input. We'll discuss in the team what could be done about that.

I've planted the purple/pink one as far right as I can and I'm not getting the option to plant the green one anywhere except for where it's too far away.
Mind you, this is a counter-intuitive solution to begin with. I thought the green needed to be as close as possible, so that is the very first thing I ever did, but at no time has that first mushroom I planted ever shown. I can't grow there, I can't inspect there, I can't harvest there, I can't mattock there.
4 cycles of large shrooms have grown since then, all too far away.
This really isn't that difficult.
But of course I would never know this since I have to leave the area to accelerate time.
Yep, that’s what I expected too. :/
