I've been walking to the right in the halls of eternity for over 100 hours now, and I've just come back from having my dinner and noticed the Shade was lay down for some reason when he was auto walking, so I woke him up and started walking right again and hit a loading screen, the game went black briefly and when it loaded I was in the Halls still, but next to a Door (On the right side as if I've passed through it) Annoyingly because I'd gone for dinner my stream was on the BRB screen so I can't look back to see if there was a door there before I entered and I didn't dare go back through the door. I've decided to continue walking to the right for now to see if anything new pops up, only found paper again so far the Shade made a comment about the place being Monotone but I would guess that's a normal comment he can make about the Halls.

I don't know if this has just basically reset the whole of the halls an there really isn't anything here. I'll probably walk this way a bit more maybe an hour or so, and then walk back to the door. If I pass through it and end up outside the Halls of Eternity then it has 100% just reset and there is nothing there.

A noble experiment, yet very probably fruitless. If you make a bookmark in the Halls and then try to call it up while in there the Shade simply remarks how everything looks the same in here...


And if there was indeed a loop reset glitch, it would have been priceless footage. You have sympathies Azriall.

I decided to walk to check the door rather than continue walking and it was indeed the entrance once again, so after around 104ish hour of walking the halls it reset me back to the entrance and I missed it on stream because of the BRB screen. I mean, I still have 100 odd hours of footage of me walking through the halls and finishing Mass Effect 1 xD And of me deciding to walk back and check the door. But yea, I'm 100% certain that the Halls of Eternity really are Eternal and don't contain anything beyond the furniture, books and paper. I picked up around 130 paper by the time I finished lol.

Well now you can also wallpaper every inch of Shade's abode and have more than half left over, I'm sure!

And yes you have to walk all the way back, but you can leave overnight and just auto walk home.

Nope. I walked 3 hours and when I turned back it took like 5mins

Well that didn't happen for me, I walked for 2h and walking back took me 2h.

i have some strange experiment... i walked through the Halls on the right for nearly 1,5-2 hours, and then decided to go back... i took Shade in auto mode but still stay watching on him... and just in 5-7 min before the out-door the columns started to desappear! i dont know if it's bag or smth else, but the nearest columns started to desappear first, the second row after and do on...
So at the end there are just door, Shade ans empty Halls, just white. And Shade said smth like ' All the same here, which way to go?'...I started to click everywhere, but unfortunatly go out...when i get back in the Hall, everything was already normal, as usual... Maybe its some kind of...idk..foolish to watch Shade walking back home through the Halls? Or its just a mistake. Cause i tried to do this again and it didnt work. But i wasn't walk for so long as for the first time

i think it might be some kind of graphical glitch.
i walked about 8 hours into the halls and at some point all the columns disappeared
i headed back to the door and the collumns never appeared, but i have a feeling if i had closed and opened the game they wouldve come back
im finding many small graphical glitches like that so i figured that was one aswell

I walked for six hours, found some carpets, books, curtains and a horse head, and about 70 pieces of paper, then told shade to walk back and I logged out. when I checked an hour later Shade was back at home, asleep on one of his new carpets. :p
I really need to make the poor lil guy a bed, but I'm still missing one piece of wood that I can't seem to find anywhere and I've been looking all over the place. Haven't found the library yet though so I don't know if there's some wood in there.

If you're missing just ONE you've been through the darkness then? There are two beyound that point.
As for the library, it's not that hard to find -- you can even see it on the map. But a month has to pass before you can get to it.

So it's called the hall of eternity so it's totally plausible it's infinite. Also I don't know if anyone one else has gotten this line from the shade while in the hall, "it's fun to take a stroll in this realm, but I'm afraid that at some point I will have to walk to whole way back." That makes me think that it will take the same time to walk back without exception

I've been walking the Hall of Eternity for about 2 weeks or roughly 300 hours and nothing has changed. If nothing has changed by 400 hours I'm giving up and assuming it's infinite.
