Mmm good idea.
Most of the time, though, I just call them Kid or Kiddo. Not entirely sure why. But I tend to tab out or pop into steam chat when I'm sending them on a long walk, and every so often I pop in to see where they're at and I usually say something along the lines of "YOU GO, KID, YOU CLIMB THOSE STAIRS. KEEP IT UP, KIDDO" and then I tab back over to YouTube.
I am playing this game at a stressful time (have been eyeing it before release for quite a while lol), and it's been a somewhat meditative experience. You might even say I envy the Shade a little.
Somehow he reminds me of myself while I was very depressed months ago. Maybe that's the reason, why I keep the game always open. Even if you feel lost and blind in the dark, there is always someone thinking of you.
Which is why it really hurt when I made the mistake to get impatient close to the exit of the caves... Don't trust the childish eyes of the young. Always trust faces in the wall and do as they say.
I am both happy and a little saddened that I can relate to the Shade so well. I am also learning something from it, to take things a little slower and not to rush things all the time. I also call the Shade it because of this theory of mine the shade is a creature of shadows, that is why it can never see daylight. Everything has its place in the world. . Shade, you are my new friend and I don't give that title out lightly.
