Mystery Tower?

I am curious if anyone has found the Mystery Tower (or maybe Secret Tower, not sure how it is in English)? I think I have discovered everything in the cave except this one.

There are some suspicious stairs leading to nowhere, like the ones two screen right from the map room, but just standing there does not seem to trigger any events...

I found it after 100 hours of testing during development. ;-)
Check the first book in your library, called "Thoughts" and try to understand how much of the cave you really have explored.

Speaking of "I think I have discovered everything in the cave except this one."

As far as your progress goes after less than 24 hours: Have you really solved the mushroom puzzle after using your mattock and entered the completely dark part of the cave?

100 hours - that's a lot of testing time :)
I am not near it yet... I always check the 'Thoughts' book, but I do not see any hints there about it.

Sure! I have been to the upper parts of the cave that go after the dark...

OK, I have found the Mystery Tower!
And I have even got 'The Cave' achievement first just before discovering it :)

Any chance a kind person can give a more specific, spoiler tagged hint at where the mystery tower entrance is ?

I've been stuck looking for a 1-2 hours in the area's discussed. and I'm clearly missing something obvious.

The secret tower is on the surface, so you'll need to find your way up to it by exploring the areas near the surface.

Go to the under-the-well area, then go back home, but point to the upper right instead of lower right. Shade will tell when there will be another way up, and his footsteps would sound different.

Hints below:
There is a hint on the last page of the book The Secret Garden.

It tells you to watch the sound of your steps.

Now where would you find a tower? Towers usually stick out above the rest. So search for it somewhere up top. And remember what the hint from the book.

If that's too vague, the answer is below.

Stop reading here if you want to figure it out yourself.

There is a secret junction somewhere in the middle of the dark tunnel leading to the surface and the well. Easiest way to find it is to go to the end of the dark tunnel (surface side) and then start walking back home. The junction is where the sound of your footsteps changes from stone to dirt, walk towards the top-right from there. Or just walk the whole tunnel aiming towards the top right so you can't miss it.

oooh... thanks Duffe I stopped at first line, that was enough :D I foolishly turned off sound and music assuming the game had shown its hand with the darkness eye puzzle already solved in the area

Hello,

I tried what you just said Walking holding top right on the transition from dirt to stone but the Shade didn't comment on anything and just keep walking right. There is a little zone where you don't see his eyes so I assume it's there. Do you have to read the book to have the clue ?

You do not have to read the book. The exit to the tower is not in the 'no-eyes' zone, it is further to the right.

Yes, just by hitting the "home" button. It's probably a good idea to bookmark the tower too so you can get back there.

Finding the secrect tower actually doesn't have to be so difficult. You just have to light a sulphur fireand then your shade will walk there on his own.
Of course you need tosolve the mushrooom and Angst puzzlesfirst.

No, not necessarily. After that the Shade just walks to random new place.
