Map deciphering
I found a map, which says it will "take some time to decipher".

Does just standing in front of it and waiting act to decipher it, or should I be looking for a different way to do so?

About the map, just standing still in front of it is enough, but im wondering... is that the whole world of The Longing? Or there are secret places beyond what the map shows? Because, for a game that lasts 400 days, i already saw like half of the map in my first day... also, i saw there is an achievement related to the map, but it didn't triggered.

I'm very sure that there must be multiple things changing over time in terms of the map. Maybe it's worth exploring again after some time. I mean there is a "walk to a random location" button after all. I had no use for it on the first day.

I clicked on investigate twice I think, and waited until the map was completed on the screen, and got the achievement. I think you may need to wait a bit longer investigating the map.

My camera doesn't go as far as shown on the picture. It doesn't completely shows the King room and all the black surrounding it, and it doesn't make sense that it suddenly stops, and after a while, it keeps zooming out. Could this be a bug?

Well, judging by the achievements, it is indeed the whole world of The Longing... so i just saw more than half of the world in the first couple days... and now i just have to wait? Was expecting a massive world, considering the 400 days thing, but nop. Highly dissapointed...

It's not really the whole world you see in the map. You have an entry in the "thoughts" book that will tell you, how much of the cave you have explored by feet. But it's always ok to be disappointed.

I found some places that are locked for some time, so you I will need to come back in a couple of weeks.

No no, i mean, i really like the game, im not dissapointed with it, but just knowing that the only places i didn'nt see yet are those that are closed under time restrictions... ugh, it hurts, i really like the atmosphere of the game.

I have like 4 if i remember correctly, 5 with this one xD.

Could it be that the areas you already know may change over time giving you more to discover?
