FAQ
中文

Q: How long is the game?
A: The experience varies. It can be 400 days in real time. It can be shorter if you ignore the king and try to make your way out of the cave. It is really up to you.

Q: Do I have to keep the game running?
A: No, time counts down even if you quit the game and shut down your computer. You can start a process that takes a while (like mining), quit the game, do some work and come back later to see if it is finished.

Q: How many endings does the game have?
A: There is a total of four.

Q: Can I change my settings?
A: There is a button in the upper right corner to change brightness in three steps. Also you'll find a mute button for the sound and one for the music separately.

Q: Are there many things I can do and how do I know what I can do?
A: Yes, there is a lot to discover if you want to. One main idea of the game is that you can do things but you don't have to. One tip would be to refer to the book called "Thoughts". This gives you hints what else could be done.

Q: Do you have more details about the books?
A: Here is a good thread about the books already: https://steamcommunity.com/app/893850/discussions/0/1744520902274466064/

Q: Why do I run into bugs - didn't you guys test the game?
A: We actually had a large number of beta testers on the game. Adventure games are quiet complex. There will always be someone who did things in an order nobody else did it before and may see a glitch or a bug nobody else had. There haven't been many reported though and we have fixed them as fast as possible and will continue to do so. Please refer to the post Bugfixes/Reporting bugs to send us reports.

Q: I am stuck in the game! Can you help me?
A: No, we can't we don't have the resources to walk you through the game. It is part of adventure gaming to be stuck every now and then. Examine again to find out what the logic behind the puzzles is. Other than that refer to the forum posts and to internet resources.

Q: Can I play the game with a gamepad/controller?
A: As of now there is no controller support. But we agree it would be cool to make this a couch and living room experience.

Q: Can I play the game with a touch screen?
A: It is possible to play with a touch screen. But we have not fully tested and optimized it for touch screens. There may be occasions where hotspots are too small and stuff like that. We may look at that in the future.

Q: Will the game be released for console or mobile?
A: The game is built in Unity. So technically it can be ported to all platforms but it comes with development effort. For now it is PC, Mac and Linux. When we are able to announce ports we will do so.

Does the game need a constant Internet connection or does it run in Steam offline mode too?

It does only require internet on the first seconds after starting. After that it doesn't.

Are you going to release the soundtrack and/or an art book?

Maybe the soundtrack (the parts of it that are OST) as a tape run limited to 400 pieces.

How does the game keep track of passed time while it's closed or while the PC is off? Probably a simple answer but I was curious.

It's using your computers clock and some math. ;-)

My PC is currently running Linux as an OS.

Maybe change this to "Windows, Mac and Linux" ?

Well, I'm waiting for you to remove that from the GOG version, then I will buy the game. Hopefully you will do that, instead of sticking to this unreasonable requirement. I was quite excited about this game, until I found that you cannot play this without an internet connection. As someone who travels a lot to regions without any internet for work, this is a definitely a deal breaker for me.

Please make an announcement when you update the game with controller support. I have it on my wishlist and would love to get notified about it.
Is it a one time experience game?
How I know what the other 3 endings are?

So I started to play yesterday at 19:00. The timer shows 398 D 08 H 52 m Is it supposed to be such calculation? or we could fast the time for example by reading books? :)

Yes, 400 days is only if you do nothing. You can do different stuff to remove minutes from the timer, like drawing, reading etc.
