Noob Questions
(I originally posted this on Gilroy's but got no response and my Laptop is about to come in! If anyone can help with any info much appreciated!)

Hello everyone I'm new here (again). I haven't played since 99'. I happened to think about M59 one night and then I read that it was on Steam so I started reading about it more and now I think I might start an account up again. I have to wait and buy me a Windows laptop (I did read some discussions about trying to play on a Mac but trust me when I tell you that's not something I can do lol) but meanwhile I have questions for my future builds on 101/102. Sorry if they might be repeat questions but I want to make sure my first toon is on the right track from the get go:

1. In Raza if I choose the 2nd level Shal'ille spell Holy Touch will I be able to use it? From what I read the mobs don't drop Emeralds and the vendors don't sell them there either.

2. Does improving Punch affect Touch Spells at all? My Aim will be way lower than my Agility so if improving Punch will help touch spells I'll work it.

3. When my HP hits 25 in Raza can I still stay and raise my %'s in Block or Punch or will they stop too and I should leave right away?

4. When you leave Raza do you keep your items in your inventory? Or like the old days, do you leave it all behind? I've read about both in guides/discussions and would like to know how it is now on the Steam Servers nowdays.

5. If a stat is maxed at 50 upon creation will I get benefits beyond 50? For example, Might at 50. If I cast Super Strength maxed at 99% will my Strength be at 70? And if so will the weight allowance also rise or the base damage bonus Might gives rise too?

6. WC 6, Disarm. What is its soft cap? Might, Agiliy or Aim? This will determine weather I skip WC 6 or not on my toon or leave it for last.

7. I found this statement in the forums from around 2012: "They just made CV, GY, and MG Tos guild-pvp only, so you can't be attacked by PKs there". Is this still in affect in 2019?

8. For the Shal'ille spell Rescue. Is  there a certain home town I should pick for better loot profits? I'm thinking Jasper or should it be Baroque to sell to Roq?

9. Making money on the island. Is it profitable to sell items on the island nowdays or do you still have to go back to the mainland to make a better profit off loot?

That's it for now. I'll be thankful for any help. On another note I think you might consider adding a foot note to information on the site to help new players determine that in 2019 this information is still valid. When I went to your Players Stats section for build advice, for example, it left me wondering if the builds from 2011 and 2014 are still valid after all these years in today's version of the game.

Again Thank you for any insight!

Appreciate it's been a couple of months but in case still needed or for others' benefit, some brief answers:

1. You'll get enough starting regs to get you through to 25hp using holy touch.

2. Yes - hit chance builds in higher of punch % or 1.5x Mysticism, so pure mage OK but high % punch for max.

3. Capped 25%. Good next stop is rats/'pedes at Tos main gate to 30hp then Marion crypt (new since 3do - find gap in wall past the old man).

4. You keep items from Raza now.

5. Weight allowance takes full Might. I believe damage benefit caps at 65 but wouldn't stake my life on it. Logic goes 40 might for a fighter (SS +20, Jonas shield +5).

6. Disarm follows Agility.

7. CV and MG Tos yes. GY was for many years but no longer (ditto Marion crypt I believe).

8. Tos typically best for access to bank + most m/l regs, as well as caves and CV. Each has its benefits of course. Nb first rescue takes you to guildhall if you have one.

9. Selling on Island brings plenty of cash - more on mainland but I'd say only worthwhile with Elusion.

Development is ongoing so none of the above is 100% permanent. See github if you have a nose for it:

5. I remember 70 being the cap or maybe just the highest values attainable for any attribute. May have been changed. I have like a very dim sequence in my mind about buffing someone and inspecting him with eye of the gods, even adding boons and it not exceeding 70. But maybe I remember it wrong. It has been so long ago
