Catherine doesn't boot up.
I got Catherine, tried launching it, nothing.
I looked at my task manager while I booted it up and the process appears, takes up around 10MB of Memory before completely disappearing from my process list.

I dunno what to do. I still run Windows 7, but it's 64 bit, I got a GTX 1060, i7-4770K CPU @ 3.50GHZ.
I've tried verifying cache, didn't work. All that's left is to reinstall, but I don't think it'll work. I'm a bit up ♥♥♥♥ creek here. If I can't get this working soon, I'll have to refund it.

It works now! I was running an older version of Steam, so that's why it didn't wanna boot up. Now I can experience everyone's other issues with this port.
well i have the same problem and i use the lastest steam build...:2018bestaward:

Do you have msi afterburner turn on? I had to turn it off in order it to boot.

I've heard that might be the issue too.

If you're using NVidia, make sure to un-optimize the game in GeForce Experience; it sometimes likes to upscale the game's resolution to something like 3840x2160 DSR, and some games just won't run in that state no matter what (I've had that issue with Heroes of the Storm for example), so just double-check that, and if DSR is turned on, make sure to turn it off.

For people crashing disable all overlays. For those with RivaTuner (ships with MSI Afterburner) make an exception for Catherine and set it to use Vector 3D, then it'll work with the game.

Just remember, Discord, NVIDIA, and AMD all ship with different overlays. Make sure to disable them as Catherine doesn't like many of them.

I use MSI to monitor temp., FPS, etc... And it works perfectly and doesn't crash Game... I just don't have NV Expierience installed...

Disable things like RTSS. Disable various programs that will load their dlls during video playback.

To be honest, I didn't think it would have any effect and was ready to request a refund as any other solution didn't work, but... yeah, it was afterburner all along. Thanks bro!
