Also change enemies detection fov because most enemies in Ashland not only hard, they have third eyes at their back spotted you 360 degree and also can spotted you even if you are quite far.
Mob spawn rate doesn't need to be adjusted, and you need to be mindful of activities as you're exploring that make noise that attracts mobs to you. Running, jumping, mining, woodcutting, pickaxing the terrain, etc. are all audio cues that attract mobs, no different from other biomes.
If you're getting cut down too easily by Ashlands mobs you're either ill-prepared for biome exploration to begin with, or you're lousy at combat.
I wish I had 40 in a town. In our base I have 4 until I go kill a ton of chickens, then I have 18.
Also I have to leave the base before logging out because if I am in the base when I log in to my friends game, the base starts to fall down - even when he (the instance owner) is standing right next to me!
I don't have the problem with spawn rate it just that the enemies just pop out of nowhere most of the time even if I cleared the entire area for farming stuff.
Since I play Co-Op, both me and friends seems to have a hard to to hear the enemies creep at your back until it's way too close most of the times.
It's not as clear as any other enemies in other biome.
Either readjust spawn behavior or make the enemies more noticeable when they are creeping at you.
The Forest Biome's enemies still by far the best one since the clear distinct noises when they are close or running at you.
so, no matter what you do you know they are coming.
Even in Mistland, the giant flying creature give you a huge warning for a fair distance that it is close and coming to your area.
Skelies, Asksvin and Morgen imo, lack of distinct noises.
"The whiners are so annoying. The update is out and all they can do is cry anyway. Just leave the game and community if you’re never going to be happy."
I totally agree.
Iron Gate seems to have the mind set how to advance and release the game. What purpose is there to spam the comments with sensless whining à la "too little too late". It really is annoying.
I would very much appreciate a moderator deleting (or moving somewhere else) all these spam posts. Or collecting the few interesting and helpful posts somwhere. So that is gets way easier finding & reading these relevant posts.

Same for all these posts asking over and over again the same questions which already were asked and answered.
E.g. Patch 0.218.16 (Public Test), Dark Hauk31, Post #36
"is there a way to roll this patch back."
Yes there is. For test releases + for latest stable release + for major releases (like Mistlands and Ashlands). And a minimum effort of looking up that topic in Google (or any other search engine you might favour) will give you all the answers.

For all those complaining about Ashlands being too difficult / enemy spawn rate beeting too high:
As far as I see it, Valheim has never been a game for just gripping a weapon and mindless jumping into a fight. It always has been a game for exploring, understanding game mechanics, understanding equipment capabilities, getting ressources, building a base, preparation, and then go to war.
There are so may ways how to tackle ashlands:
- The new ship is big enough for a huge wolf** army. And such a army can easily be generated with a wolf farm.
- You can block all the enemy spawning points by jamming the landscape with cookfires
- If you have skilled stealth, you can try with a stealth based approach
- You can build a wall or forest of ballistas (and/or traps) to pick off enemies
- You can terraform the landscape to create steps or walls which all the mobs (exclding the flying ones) can't cross
- You always can build a portal to jump to a save location, regenerate, then jump back to the fight
- There is this new shield generator. And if you are low on bones, you can build a sceleton farm.
- And finally, there are the game setting for adjusting the game difficulty
If you only care about playing Valheim diabolo-style-like, please consider it may be the wrong game for you.

The only thing I really like to ask the devs for improvement:
Please stabilize PFS at bigger bases. Having usually 60...80 FPS but at base having only 5...10 FPS (dropping to zero if moving the camera fast, e.g. at sprinting & jumping & looking around) is no fun at all.
Took me a sec to realize you meant 2 star, not filtered profanity. I'm actually working on an aksvin ranch for this.
Turning Valheim into a quarry simulator is just making a fun challenging game a boring job you don't get paid for. Do you seriously think putting campfires every 10 feet from each other is a valid use of your time? I don't
That doesn't work. I always go stealth when landing on a new island to prep for exploration and when getting to a tombstone; didn't even get close before everything in the area saw me and attacked. This was with an initial stealth skill of 100. (I have a greydwarf pit for working on stealth while watching anime.) I agree with you there.
We've got way more visibility in the Ashlands than the Mistlands. Most of the terrain's open and flat, and by this point in the game, you ought to be habitually spot-checking your surroundings. I can abide fewer audio cues since it's not nearly as important as it was with seekers/gjall,
That being said, however, if you're playing with multiple people, that would go some ways towards explaining difficulty with biome mobs. IIRC enemy HP and attack power increase the more people you have logged onto a server, so I will concede that playing solo I probably have an easier time of it vs. any biome's mobs than if I were running around in multiplayer.
If you go out and about in Ashlands with a group, perhaps have one of you as the designated look-out. Make sure at least someone's got a protection staff and those personal bubbles are up at all times so no one gets ganked.
Nevermind, I just saw like 5 morgens and 2 valkyries spawn within 5 mins and they literally just materialize into existence infront of you out of nowhere
Please fix
