Better Gardening!
I'd love it if plants weren't biome-locked, but set at something else, such as temperature. That way you could grow warm-area stuff (meadow) somewhere else as long as you have enough heat for it. Is it worth it to put a bunch of fires around your garden so you can grow carrots? No. It doesn't matter- you should be able to try.

Real world: Greenhouses

I just got my first cultivator today! I got one of each of the seeds or fruit I've collected, and... I can't grow everything. I didn't eat fruits or vegetables through the whole game until now, just so I could have a sustainable garden before chowing down. That was pointless. Please make it not pointless to go the hard way.

It's the same reason I saved the berries from the greydwarf shamans. I wanted to grow them before anything else. What I've discovered that I think should be growable (it's a plant, it grows):

Dandelion
Thistle
Ancient Seed
Yellow Mushroom
Mushroom
Blueberry
Raspberry
Carrot (this you can grow)
Bukeperries

*sigh*
Did grown plants became un-teleportable?
What problem you're trying to address with this solution?

I don't understand why anyone would want to grow bukeperries. They're literally the only item I never keep.

They also don't even have a plant connected to them, which, I assume, is why Plant Everything doesn't let you plant them.

This is exactly the problem I'm running into. The garden is so difficult to maintain because you have to run around the world to find the seeds. When you collect something that's planted, there's not even a random drop ratio of seeds, just nothing.

IRL you can plant nearly anything by dropping it into the ground and providing it fertiliser, water, and sunlight. I don't want to scour the dark woods for carrot seeds every time I want to plant a single carrot.

you can plant carrots and get seeds from them, If I grow 100 carrots, I will replant 25 of the carrots to gets seeds for the next round of carrots
