Stained glass

Although not very Viking like, I think having stained glass would be really cool with grausten (which is less viking and more gothic). I would probably just have the same colors that the banners can do and with the same materials to dye them. I feel like this addition would be well worth it, and only cost relatively little effort. Many players, especially the hard core builders, would make very pretty projects.

Not to toot my own horn, but a similar idea could be done for making Tapestries. If you build banners inside of each other, they will show alternating stripes of the front or back banner. I think it would be more interesting, if the banners 1) did not show the wood and 2) rather than showing the front and back alternating, if instead the banners could be designed to angle in such a fasion as to allow them to stack and have one completely cover the other. if this were done in a series, you would get multiple horizontal stripes of each banner's color. if this were then done in a series going to the side, you could make a grid tapestry. You would probably have to angle each banner a little so one side would cover the other's
Perhaps a tapestry grid could be made to provide templates for spacing and have snap points.
Also, I might consider adding the colors tan and brown.
