knife not getting a version is logical btw. its the only weapon that never had its BIOME BREAK so far. a biome break is a biome where the weapon class simply doesnt exist. every single weapon has had one of these. aside knife. so it had to happen now as deep north shouldnt skip any weapons since final biome.
himmin has 1 huge advantage : its the only true lighting weapon still. nothing resists lighting. nothing. the morgen is even weak to it.
giveing a weapon that does already so much lighting the proc on top PLUS aoe spin to win would make it overpowered despite the pierce resistence.
instead they should add an ashlands atgier. i dont get why this weapon got skipped over AGAIN. it makes no sense for it unlike the knife.
its too late for knife mains and polearm mains to "switch weapons" in what the devs are calling the second-to-last biome which is meant to be "very hard." what you mean is, dont bother majoring in these weapon families because you will hit a wall in the 7th biome later. bad design for an open world game.
Enchantments sound great, if done correctly. I would like to be able to upgrade my best-favourite gear to the current patch stats. Even if it ends up being slightly worse or requires more materials than the regular "modern" gear. I'll take Troll Set as an example.
One way of doing this would be to add a bunch of Askvin Hide plus some other stuff to Troll Leather Tunic and bump up the base armor and durability numbers to be close to that of Breastplate of Ask.
Another option would be to have a fully upgraded Breastplate of Ask as a requirement and magically fuse a Troll Leather Tunic into it.
If any weapons are deemed overpowered and that's why they don't have a newer version, just give them a +1 to damage for the upgrade cost. Being able to choose old or new texture would be ideal.
Again, if done well, Enchantments would allow players to continue using their favourite gear after they get to the current endgame.
that is how it should work, keep your previous equipment in rotation by power creeping it. adding completely new weapons just to get enchantments is strange.
"biome break" is arbitrary design, doesnt serve any purpose. imagine putting another crossbow in the game, and enchanted variants, but skipping knife and polearm. utterly bizarre design decisions going on with this biome.
