Love the damage modifier, But...
I love that i can increase how difficult the monsters are. However, doing so means I can no longer parry their attacks. That little detail ruins it for me. If i'm fighting a Crystal golem or a Troll I can no longer block or parry them making the fight all but impossible unless I just cheese it. I think it needs changed to that yes the monsters hurt more and have more life and i get raided more often. But i cant strategically fight them if I cant even block an attack I normally could.

The dodge-roll.

Bud, just toggle back to normal if you're not ready for stronger enemies.

You need to master the rolly polly.

I'd love for the fight difficulty adjustment to be more granular. E.g. recently we got back to the game after about a year of not playing, and the fights seemed nerfed, so we wanted to up the difficulty. But you can't up the difficulty without having also more spawns. We don't want MORE fighting, we want the existing amount, but for the enemies to be tougher. Letting us tailor this more towards what we want would be really nice.

You can still parry trolls with a bronze buckler and some HP food at least on hard. Not sure if that is still true on higher. Not sure if I meet a single non-starred enemy on hard that I was unable to parry if I invested into it. It is just no longer possible for stamina focused chars with cheap shields.

Other than that you can just use dodge roll. Even on normal that is a good thing to do for stamina chars in light armour against anything bigger.

Nah dude, your post was a lazy clown farming attempt - suggesting to use a dodge roll while this game melee combat clearly revolved (and still revolves) around parrying - that's a big brain move ngl

So they just added dodge roll for no reason? You can play the game entirely without that 20 stamina depletion move and just stagger with damage etc. There are multiple enemies even on normal difficulty where you should not try to parry and rather dodge roll, especially if you have a stamina focused char.

But how? There is no skill related to it despite wasting stamina. Better use sprint as it's cheaper and lvls you up .

Mastering something is a player skill, not a raising character number. Movement speed modifiers also modify dodge roll cost, so you can build for it too.

Still sprinting away is more efficient.
Rolly polly is rarely useful but even then its cheating that should be treated as an actual Bug and be removed from the game.
