Renewable trees?
Are there any plans on increasing the drop rate for trees? At the moment, you rarely every get seeds from trees, so there is no sustainable way to regrow them. At least have natural saplings grow past the sapling stage into full trees. My base is now devoid of foliage all around, and I'm forced to painstakingly clear several hundred trees worth of forest to repopulate my home.

Incorrect. Beech trees have a drop higher than 100%. I do have a farm tree next to my base. When I cut 15 trees I usually end up with 20 seeds.

Other trees have indeed a smaller percent drop. Oak being the rarest I believe.

The cheap way would be to enable no-cost building, letting you plant an infinite amount of trees by finding just one seed.

Yep, what vinyblaster said. I have a lumber yard consisting of an area where I grow a grove of beech trees. I get a ton of wood from harvesting them and more than enough beech seeds to replant the grove. Birch seed drop has gotten a bit better as has fir and pine but they're still not 1:1. Even so I have a good collection of their seeds too. There's sooo many trees in a world. Oaks I tend to mark but NOT cut down unless I really REALLY need the finewood. Acorn drop is exceedingly rare.
