Let us plant Yggdrasil Shoots anywhere :o !
Even if the seeds were to drop super-duper rarely from chopping the shoots.
I would absolutely LOVE to decorate with them, they're just so scenic and my main base would greatly appreciate them.
and please let us plant it anywhere, not just Mistlands.

Edit: maybe ancient trees too, as Dynamiez pointed out :[]

+1. But then the ancient trees from the swamp would be sad that they are the only unplantable tree 😟

If your just into decorating I suggest playing around with the devcommands, otherwise y'know kinda goes against the whole resource gathering via exploration thing they're going for. And y'know it's a magical tree so probably a reason it grows where it does

Make them unplantable anywhere but mistlands, done.

Yeah possibly. I know it's a game so logic shouldn't be priority but it's a shoot. Wouldn't you technically be planting a whole yggdrasil tree if you managed to get a seed to plant?

I spose if they instead dropped a shoot offcut that you can transplant to grow a shoot? Ehhh I don't know if that makes sense either though.

Well, you do have climate zones. You can't plant palm trees in Sweden, at least not in nature. Compare it to crop fertility mechanics. You can plant BF and meadows trees in the plains though, don't know if that makes sense particularly for the pine trees. As the plains clearly have a warmer climate than the Scandinavian BF.

But I'm on board with the idea of having them dropping seeds at least. At the very least you should be able to plant ancient trees in the swamp and yggdrasil trees in the ML. Especially the latter as you use ygg wood a lot more than ancient bark(dvergr stairs...). The exact biome configuration for each tree is a different matter, that could be thought out further. Perhaps you should be able to plant ygg trees in BF but not in plains, or something among those lines.
