The problem I see with associating Elder's powers with magic is that they'd push into the place of the Queen's power... but with some additional features like described above, they could be different enough, Elder's power being more useful for beginner mages and the Queen's power for advanced casters with better resources and spellcasting equipment.
moder power helps catching sea serpents. if theres a storm and night, i allways sail out into the ocean to my favorite sea serpent spawns, taking my trusty abyssal harpoon and moders blessing with me.
elder power is if I need more coal, its usually a quick trip to the center trough a portal, take elders power and slaughter trees for 5 minutes, makes 400+ wood.
eiktyrs power i rarely take lately, but on my first trips into the mointains it helped me alot, i would argue it may even be good for mistlands, but the enemies in mistlands hit quite hard, and i prefer having bonemass' power there.
so what is left is queen and yagluth, yagluths power is the least usefull right now i'd say, since there are no enemies who actually do lightning damage, and against frost and fire there are potions which are quite easy to craft. but with the future biomes maybe yagluths power might become usefull, especially if they finally allow us to stack resistances from several sources.
cant say anything about queens power.
yeah have to agree with this. Huge fan of Valheim, love the game...the first power/sprint and the wind power are really good, but the others are near useless. I dont think it would be OP at all to all players to have all the powers at the same time tbh. That alone would make them viable (and just some better than others)
Yea honestly if maybe it decreased stam usage, increased stam regen and gathering rate of all harvesting for "x" time.. it would be a lot better.
Or boosted stamina regen. Instant rested buff with immunity to cold and wetness.
Literally anything other than 1 task.
Greys drop Wood Resin & Stone so buff gathering those by double for ten mins maybe? SO every tree gives 2 resin double wood etc. All mining gets 2x stone.
Still weaksuace compared to Ol' Boney but situationally useful at last!
