3 ways to easily fix the mist problems
1. significantly increase the radius that wisps and wisp torches remove mist so you can see more than 5 feet in front of you.

2. make it so it takes somewhere between 20-60 seconds before the mist comes back in an area that a wisp cleared. so you can actually see where you've been.

3. remove or reduce mob agro on wisp torches so theyre not attacked and destroyed.

i thik these would dramatically solve the frustration of exploring the mist.

Already on the public test version, haven't tested myself though.

You need BepInEx[valheim.thunderstore.io] and Mist Be Gone[valheim.thunderstore.io]. The BepinEx page has manual install instructions, but in short it's just copy everything from inside the `BepInExPack_Valheim` folder in the zip file into `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim`. MistBeGone doesn't seem to have instructions but it's a straight forward mod: simply copy the dll file out of the zip file into `C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Valheim\BepInEx\plugins`. Those paths assume a default steam install location.

I just started really digging into the Mistlands biome and this is beyond annoying. I think they went a little heavy on the mist! Lol it's a really cool mechanic but could surely use some tweaking. :)

Make the handheld (well, waistheld since it replaces the belt) mist torch upgradeable to +3 or +4.
1 - Same as today.
+2 - Double range.
+3 - Triple range.
+4 - Quadruple range.

Would be nice if the misttorch didn't replace the belt spot too.

There’s a pretty simple way to not only fix the mist problem, but also keep the wisplight and wisp torch unchanged. They should add a magic weapon called the “staff of wisps”, craftable at the galdr table. It uses 40 eitr and it fires off a wisp that travels forward at a medium speed and it clears the mist in its path temporarily as long as the wisp still exists. Once the wisp reaches its maximum distance or hits a wall, it goes away, and all the mist that it cleared goes back to being misty. Upgrading the staff increases the distance the wisp travels before it disappears.

It’s a perfect weapon that not only keeps the mist a challenge, but allows a higher progressed individual to be able to use magic to make fighting and locating things in the mist easier.

Add a greater transparency to the texture maps of the mist.
