Trophy's should generate fear /viking nithing pole
a dwarf trophy /on a pike out front should make a dwarf heading toward it run the other way, a 1 star will hesistate n reroll? a 2 star attacks.

A lower trophy doesn't effect a higher dwarf but higher does effect the lower

'place pike', just looks like a stick, but you can attache 4 trophies going up the pole.

i want to extend my farm for a few more crops, i got a huge sweet open meadow out side my walls, a nice little fence would be good, a giant wooden wall would be over kill and a trench is cheese, but a few trophies (on my little fence), nice :P

I'm sure it's been said before.

P.S: just had a brute spawn in my base..

EDIT: It's a nithing pole.
A nithing pole consisted of a long, wooden pole with a recently cut horse head at the end, and at times with the skin of the horse laid over the pole.[1] The nithing pole was directed towards the enemy and target of the curse. The curse could be carved in runes on the pole.

I like it, but it should also attract retaliation.

i was thinking the 2 star gets enraged or a risk roll that initiates the dwarf event
but would just be happy if they even added a 'fear pike'

you can put down Workbenches to prevent mob spawn in a area. But yeah having specific totems instead for this task sounds like a good idea.

It's actually a viking thing, it's called a nithing pole:

"A nithing pole consisted of a long, wooden pole with a recently cut horse head at the end, and at times with the skin of the horse laid over the pole.[1] The nithing pole was directed towards the enemy and target of the curse. The curse could be carved in runes on the pole."

the curse of fear lol
