Striking bedrock/unbreakables should sound and look different
All too often, when I am using a pickaxe to clear an area, there is no substantial visual or aural difference when striking an unbreakable barrier, such as the "bottom" of the world. I personally think it would be a helpful game design choice if there was a higher pitch and/or reverbation to the pickaxe sound when hitting something that cannot be broken, such as bedrock when mining out a node. For hearing disability reasons, a visual difference such as no rocks flying up would also be substantial.

Sometimes it's clear-ish, but often it's not and I have found myself hitting the same spot and having to calculate "Okay, did the ground pattern change at all? Did the ground level actually change? Where does this compare to where I've already struck bedrock and how what is the angle like from here to there?".

It doesn't help that there's a bug/feature with particles that substantially obscures the ground at a certain level either, but that's likely a bug with how fog is implemented and part of another discussion. Still, even if that's resolved, I think this feature request stands on its own merits.

Would be helpful yeah. Sometimes it takes a few hits to really confirm that you've reached the bottom.

Maybe a message similar to the "too hard" you see sometimes when using a weak tool against some materials.
