So... why not?

In a map we're not using anymore, we "jailed" a neck into a pen, calling it our mascot.
Being able to tame it would be lovely too.
Their normal poo could be stones, resin, wood, scrap leather , basic stuff that's nearly useless and they might eat since their dumb little vultures of the ocean line. Hence they could have a rare chance to poop a random trophy. If you wanted to make it more complicated with drop chances 1 star and 2 star could offer slightly more chance to spawn "x" set of trophies.
And I reckon you could feed them dandelions since there's more much use for that resource at the moment.
The idea is, you trap a bunch of local necks into a walled-off area, and they will no longer respawn in their normal location, because they haven't died yet.
So when you're travelling around the area now, you won't be pestered by necks. Or more importantly, your torches and crafting benches and spikes in the area won't take damage from wandering necks.
They don't agro very easily, it's pretty easy to contain them and just leave them be. (Except when monsters attack your base)
