Just have a look at Conan Exiles: Funcom constantly expands on their idea of a Thrall system. In the beginning it didn't even have any interaction with them at all. Now, mounted NPC's are in the making where you can lead your own troops against an enemy NPC army raiding your base. With siege!
And you? You just say no to NPC's?! Of course people will keep asking for something similar in Valheim too!
NPC's for hire? Customizable?? Group/troop/army/worker management for village life, base defense, raiding NPC settlements, having sea fights with and against them even???
HECK YEA to ALL of this!!! Wtf are you waiting for devs??? Go for it!!! Grab this idea while its HOT!
:)
I know in lore its supposed to be a pretty lonely place. But we have the hildirs and other players anyway, so mayhaps a few friendly companions wouldnt be too outrageous?
Yupp, I would love that. Sometimes I just feel like it's me alone with the monsters. That's what makes games like skyrim so good. There's NPC's, Quest, Guilds, random people just walking around.
I wouldn't expect all that, I know that's a lot of work but they can eventually try to populate the world. Making a quest or bounty hunter NPC in each biome and also some merchants to buy items from would be a nice start.
In all seriousness though, I do hope we see a FEW more in the future. (Can we have a nonaggressive troll?)
