Additional Jerky
My Viking tends to be a fan of the jerky meals (partly due to larger stack size) but they seem to be able to jerk-ify a few different meats, namely Boar and Wolf.

How about though other Jerky types. early game it's quite easy to get loads of neck and deer yet a jerky variant is not available. Neck wouldn't be that great as one of the easiest and plentiful can make it only give negligible stats - maybe like 11/11. Deer jerky though seems it would be better than boar but not so good to beat wolf as it is not "farm-able" like boars and wolves. maybe make it a halfway point between boar and wolf 30/30 or even just slightly better than boar at 25/25

Nice fully balanced foods (H/S) would be nice to have as additional options, (and got honey coming out my backside with 15 bee hives.)

Yes, I like the idea of venison jerky and how about lox jerky.

I think having the ability to create a jerky option from each available meat is a really cool idea. :steamthumbsup:

Love the idea and would be easier for new users. Better yet not need a caldurn for just jerky since it's pretty simplistic concept to make IRL.

+1, and also, we could get some sort of spice in, say, Firelands that you could combine with earlier meats to make fancy higher tier food.

Would be neat to have end tier materials making us go back to low tier areas

Deer meat+thystle+honey == Venison Jerky
suitable for the Dark Forest & Swamp bioms. Then we have Wolf jery for snacking :)

Lox Jerky too? To keep us going as we explore the new Mistlands biom.

smoked fish jerky. now that sounds good, ..., and now I'm hungry
A smoker, now that's an interesting idea. Have a standard cooking rack smoke meats instead of roasting them if you pipe smoke through it, but don't have it over a fire. We'd get to make our own barbecues!

Maybe use the fact that hardwoods (like oak) are use for smoking, whilst softwoods (like pine) are not. You'd need a different kind of fire that consumed fine wood. This would gate it behind bronze. Eh, add this bit if it's fun, skip it if it's a pain.
