Right, but the point is to have a drawbridge. It's just some extra aesthetics that also has a function. I think it's a cool idea.
but destroying and rebuilding a path for wolves etc.. to cross when you want them to is annoying
It would also fix the issue of making unreasonable high bridges for boats to go under.
As bridges like that are not only hard to build, but often look out of place in the game.
Having a drawbridge would be thematic for both buildings and bridges alike.
It would be much better to make a multi funcional drawbridge for both ''castle builds'' and bridges, and make two kinds. One that is cheap and does not span over a long area, and one that is more expensive that spans over a bigger area. (maybe make it attached to a wall as well for stability).
That way the (draw)bridge option is not completely blocked out for the player to use early game.
