Portals showing up on the map would be nice too.
More/customizable icons.
Clearer depiction of biome differences.
Toggleable topographic setting.
Ability to delete the YouDiedHereOnce icon.
I like the option to mark the map on the go with hotkeys.
...and a way to use a Controller better with mapping, a virtual keyboard. Lucky I use a PC w/Controller, so I can pop the keyboard/mouse active/focus, so I got that goin' for me...lol.
Also, bering able to scale up the text size on the map would be welcome. Playing on 4k :)
- greyling stone tower
- skeletons stone tower
- greyling camp
- troll cave
- boat (or docks)
- fort
- village (AKA 3 houses icons together)
- blue berries
- red berries
- wood
- stone
- ... (all the items)
It would be useful if icons appears as "sets", like in the building panel, so that one can page with Q/E."The big house is here" (Where? I don't see the marker)
The only current way to "share" is to take a screen shot and post it where others can view your map to try and find the locations of each marker. whereas those on your server should already be able to see those markers, especially if you run your own dedicated server.
If you die, then mark the spot, after you have retrieved your items, remove the "I died here" spot.
