Force chunk reload

To whom it may concern on the team.

Silly question, have you played minecraft? Well, if you have, do you know that you can press shift+F3 in game and it will re-load all the chunks in the area for the player?
I'm just thinking, I am having an FPS drop, and I know my computer is decent, so it may be due to loading in new parts of the map as I portal around and explore and whatnot. Would it be possible or helpful to add in a function like that to the game? I know that helped me a bunch playing Minecraft, so I was just wondering if that would help in this case as well.
