Server down

Hi, playing on my server with friends, everyone got disconnected, nobody can connect back. Anyone with the same issue?

What's really frustrating is that users started complaining at midnight (assume GMT!) about this issue but we have not had any official communication from Irongate on any of their socials at all to acknowledge the problem, or to assure us they are looking into it.

The issue is resolved for some players. The lobby server is being hit hard with requests, so it could be a few minutes. Try starting your server again; if unsuccessful, wait a couple of minutes before the next attempt.

Check the official discord, the dev's are aware of the issue... it's nothing on Valheim's end... it's a playfab or possible AWS issue that is causing the problems.

We were able to log back in!

I was able to connect to my private server just now.

What bothers me the most is WHY THE ♥♥♥♥ CAN"T I CONNECT TO MY PRIVATE DEDICATED SERVER THAT I HOST MYSELF ON MY OWN HARDWARE when some third party service is ♥♥♥♥♥♥?

Don't force an unstable update on me and just let me connect difectly to my server and get the ♥♥♥♥ out of my life.
I've paid the full price, I own the copy of this game, I should be able to play it when and how I want without anyone interfering.

There hasn't been any problems with this model thirty years ago.
Got an IP address, connect there, have fun.
Why are there extra hoops and everything's going down because of some third party that should not be any part of this?

I'm glad that that short outage was shortly fixed even tho I don't use/host servers but would love to hear more about azures playfab!
What does it do, and why it is used, and who maintains it?

It will be resolved when it would be possible to host a dedicated server and to connect to it and to play together with my friends without any interference from any third party.
So far I can call it "compensated" the best, not resolved.

PlayFab is Microsoft's multiplayer crossplay service. It's what allows Gamepass/Xbox users to play with Steam users. When it goes down, it can cause game servers that use it to go down as well.

At the moment the error says: "Incombatible Version"
