Are you using mods? Try disabling the mods in case you're using one that is broken/out of date, especially since if you've not played the game in a while mods have to keep up with the game's updates over time.
Map generation was changed with the Mistlands release. At current, the new version takes a very long time to process and is so intensive that it's slower to respond than the OS is comfortable with while doing so. Updating old maps and creating new maps will produce the symptoms you're experiencing and the fix is exactly as stated in the first paragraph of this post. The good news is that this only occurs whenever a map needs to be created or updated, not during any other load.
When the world was being created, the screen went black with the music, and at that point I click and the error occurs. you must be right
