How to get borderless window with Windows HDR?

I'm aware that the game doesn't have HDR support. Consequently, activating Windows' built-in HDR only functions with games that lack native HDR support when in windowed mode. I've experimented with various launch options and the ALT+Enter shortcut. While I've successfully set most games to borderless windowed mode through launch options, Valheim doesn't seem to support this feature. I can only play it with Windows HDR mode with normal windowed mode with the title bar...

You have to type in "Exclusivefullscreen" in the console i believe.

Edited: well i mean its worth a shot. But honestly, that sounds odd, i always play it in HDR mode and i don't know the last time i didn't. I can switch between all modes just fine and have no issues.

I do know that sometimes if you right click on the desktop in windows and check the display settings and the display adapter settings that sometimes this can actually differ from what is actually in the nVidia Control Panel (if you use nvidia) however i can't think of any other reason why you might be encountering this.

I attempted it, but it doesn't utilize HDR correctly in that manner. It ends up significantly dimming the screen, making white text and most elements appear dimmed too. My display is an LG C3 42" paired with an RTX 4090. The only method that seems effective is using windowed mode and maximizing the window. Thankfully, the top bar is entirely black, so it seems like I just have a larger bezel at the top.

If you're using nvidia and when you go into exclusive fullscreen and it dims the screen that means your HDR brightness is not correct and or the brightness settings inside nvidia control panel should also be calibrated.

My HDR brightness is correct and my display was calibrated using a Spectracal C6 HDR. I ran the game without vulkan and it resolved the problem.
