Pulled Into the Sea....

Anyone else having a glitch were they get sucked to the bottom of the sea in Ashland areas?
a Bone serpent attacked me and next thing i know i'm sucked out to see ( i was on the beach) and now i'm at the bottom of the sea and cannot escape. even relogging.....

First time it happened was when a friend and i were sailing down here and it pulled out Drakkar to the bottom of the sea. it was pretty entertaining at first. i even managed to build a workbench and portal down there...

/die does not work. i drop to 0hp's and then still just sit there. I can occasionally sprint in a direction but then get pulled backwards like magnetics to the same spot.

MOD ISSUE. seen this been posted before. stop useing mods with this freshly released update unless you absolutly know what youre doing with mods.

Specifically, a mod that makes items float.

My brother and I do not use mods, first we had a friend get sucked through the bottom of the new ship, then myself, just as we were entering ashlands water + bonemaw attack. So it is not "MOD issue"

it is 100% mod issue. you have simply mod leftover files in your valheim folder somewhere. everytime this got posted that was the source. you would be the first where its in vanilla. highly doubtful. if just 1 player runs this mod it can already trigger this glitch. or if someone didnt probaly clean up thier install. happens all the time.

The mod I'm talking about would have sunk your boat, not just you, so, I'm not sure there.

You + your brother may not use mods but what about your friend that was first sucked through perhaps he/she is the problem. Just check with them if they run mods

Wea it is a mod glith, i have the same glith, i was very nervus, but read this and quit the floatig items and bum, no more error. :D

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am having this issue on a singleplayer and even after removing mods I am still being pulled into the sea

Though id like to note my issue is the same of sliding until I hit the ocean floor but I just started my game and the glitch happens as soon as a boat is placed..

Mods are not removed by re-installing the game nor it is enough to just not launch the game via mod manager. You have to clean up your installation folder.

I would recommend doing a proper clean re-installation:

1. Open your Valheim installation folder: Steam library → right mouse click on Valheim → Manage → Browse local files[i.imgur.com]
2. Keep that installation folder opened, so don't close it yet.
3. Uninstall Valheim from Steam (Steam library → right mouse click on Valheim → Manage → Uninstall[i.imgur.com]).
4. Go back to the installation folder that you left opened, and delete any leftover files that un-installation didn't manage to remove, if there are any.
5. Install Valheim on Steam again.
6. Your installation folder should now look like this[i.imgur.com].
