Constantly getting random DC'd from a dedicated server

Will be playing fine then after a random amount of time get the blinking connection icon then "Disconnected" then have to wait until it kicks my character out then rejoin

Tried port forwarding the ports of the server on both the router and firewall settings, wired connection and full fibre internet

Any way to fix it or do I just ask my friend for the save and play solo, because it's getting more frequent to the point where it's annoying, happened once or twice in the last few days but today I've been DC'd probably 10 times in a few hours

Ok, since you're the third player with these issues within a few days, I'm starting to see a pattern here.

Maybe there's a problem with your internet in your country. You could be all from the same larger region. Could be due to an ongoing cyber attack on the network infrastructure. Maybe even due to the war.

If it was a problem with my internet surely every game would be booting me offline?

It's dedicated server in another country, there are posts about this same issue since the game released yet there seems to be no real fix for it other than the usual suggestions

Either way I've given up for now on playing, currently won't let me play for more than 5 minutes before it DC's, was playing Multiversus earlier with no issue at all

Well, I've been playing with my wife for several hours and we never seem to have had any issues. But we play on our local network, so I assume there is an issue with the internet.

And yes, there could be ongoing attacks that target certain countries or services. They could still allow other services to work, but certain others not.

The internet is a highly complex machine, and things are not always easy to determine.

If you are just going to whataboutism the thread and not actually give a fix for it can you not bother, this has been a thing SINCE RELEASE

You can google the same issue and it's happened since the game first came out

The first person in an area will host it. So even if you can connect to the server and the link through the other player may be the weak link.

Are you playing with anyone new recently? Maybe one of the players on the server is using wifi or something?


Does this happen if you play solo on the server or just with other players?

tbh most of the time its me logging on followed by other people, but the few hours today i was solo so there was no other connections and its been the worst day today for it

Just to be clear it isn't logging in first but the actual area around the player. So it can change etc. not like it is set by who logs in first.. unless you all log in at the same house or something and stay there.

But yeah does not seem like your issue if it happens solo on the server.

It was the server, ended up having to be moved to another one, not happened since.

This is why I don't get why people are always quick to blame the user for something when it doesn't happen on any other game or application lol
