Kicked from all online servers
Starting on September 13th, my brother and I have been getting disconnected/kicked from all community servers, including each other's. I will be posting the player log in the next post for both of us. We have played for 2 months with no issues, until now. There was a post by Brittnothing ttv that matches our problem... We wen through all the suggested fixes including powershell, full system reboots, and internet, Verifys, IP6 removals, and could storage stopped. We run the game with no mods to ensure we do not run into any problems.

Brittnothing ttv you are not alone in your plight as we are missing out also! Thank you in advance for any help that is offered!

Well, technically, @brittnothing ttv's friends "just" experience the usual internet problems, they CAN connect, they sometimes just experience network dropouts, probably due to network congestion at a certain node they get routed through.

If you cannot connect to any server since the 13th, that suggests you updated Valheim to the latest patch and now your malware *cough* excuse me *cough* antivirus problem *cough* excuse me again *cough* solution does no longer recognize the game and won't let it through.

At least that's my take on it. I could be very wrong here.

Edit: Could be also the Windows firewall, but that usually presents a prompt to ask you, if you want to allow it to connect.

We can connect as it is stated and we are kicked after 30 secs or up to 2 mins after log in on all servers. I removed all Firewall and stopped Windows firewall first thing as always to test any firewall problem.

When this "kick" happens, my friend gets a symbol that "looks like an ethernet cord" before being completely booted from the world itself to the main screen, once he's out, I am still in and can then perform game actions (picking stuff up, chopping/mining, etc). This was the case when we were playing as a trio as well and had issues last week, both of them get booted to the main screen.

Last night's troubleshooting:
We play vanilla and have not installed any mods, so nothing to turn off there.

I found those instructions on another discussion thread that seemed like a similar enough situation as we were going through troubleshooting, myself and the one friend I was playing with last night followed those steps exactly.

We have verified the integrity of the game files

Restarted internet modems, both of us have hardwired fast connections (300mbps at least or more), and there were no outages and the connections were stable.

Checked firewall settings to see if anything was being blocked, there was nothing to note."

Literally exactly whats happening to us just on all server and our own hosted versions.
We can only play on our own personal local games.

So I am confused how our problem is so different then theirs as we have tested beyond just each others hosted games.

Well, the OP specifically wrote that they have been kicked off all servers, meaning that they cannot connect at all!

Please be more clear in specifying either:
a. you cannot connect to any server, or
b. you can connect but will be disconnected at certain or random intervalls.

If it's option b. and it affects multiple people with the same exact problem, then it is either:
a. a problem with the host, or
b. a problem with the internet provider.

Who is hosting:
a. a server hosting company, or
b. a player with a dedicated server, or
c. a player who just opened their world to others to play with.

We can connect as it is stated and we are kicked after 30 secs or up to 2 mins after log in on all servers. I removed all Firewall and stopped Windows firewall first thing as always to test any firewall problem.

I am confused about how the topic you read and the info that follows leads you to "I cant connect to anything". I thank you for your thoughts but I am interested in help us continue to have fun playing like we have for 2 months straight before this update. Then discussing how to better label subject lines so you can skip reading the context. I have posted multiple playerlog files and all show a 30 second to 4 min log in before the disconnect. I do thank you for looking at our thread. We are just frustrated with the update that is setting up for crossplay start crashing many players unmodded Hosted servers.

We can connect to all servers for a time between 30 seconds to about 4 mins is the longest but only if we stand still.

If it's option b. and it affects multiple people with the same exact problem, then it is either:
a. a problem with the host, or
b. a problem with the internet provider.

Not necessarily.. It happens on hosted servers by our friends; dedicated servers online to both of us and to each other when we open up our games to each other.. That means that it happens to all of us that are hosting currently.

Who is hosting:
a. a server hosting company, or = Tested on multiple Dedicated servers equals same problem
b. a player with a dedicated server, or =Tested on 5 different personal hosted Dedicated servers
c. a player who just opened their world to others to play with. Also these player opened worlds..

I'm sorry to quote you and replace text but I am just trying to get somewhere or a work around.

Then it is most likely a problem with your internet provider, since it happens to ALL of you.

You ALL have to go through that provider to hook up to each other, so that is the common theme here.

If possible, I would try to have at least one of your friends meet up with either your or another one in their home and connect to their local network. Then try to run a hosted game (no external server) and have the other connect directly via IP address. It is important that you NOT use the server browser.

Please let me know if that is possible for you and try it out.

I decided to run a internet bandwidth watcher during the last host joining test session while running discord. My brother is in a different state on a different internet provider. The frame rate spikes in Valheim during saves and what seems to be garbage collection checks. The game gets a ping spike from the game its self not the internet and the limit that's placed on your ping takes over and gives your game so much time to get below the threshold. All the while the internet is running smooth with no packet loss at all. You then receive the Disconnect and the kick from the server/hosted game. Discord and the movie i was streaming just for the test never skipped a beat.. its not the internet provider most of the time and this same problem happened in 2020 and 2021 for many months and was fixed by a patch from Valheim not by the internet providers. I do hope that someone is at least looking into this possibility. We do love the game but can only hold out so long.
