Stone integrity problem/bug
I know that topic was asked and answered hundreds times but even after reading those threads and watching multiple videos I couldn't cope with that. I wonder if it is some technichal bug in my game.

As many I just wanted to construct tower, higher than those approched in default. So knowing that people have issuses with that I started cerfully with flatting terrain and precisly construct stone walls. Then I added core wood from ground to top to help a construction, then I put high core wood pile for each two cells of stone (wood is inside stone blocks).

After all of that I couldnt reach higher than when I used only stone so 14 m. I know that maximum is 16 but helped with core wood it supposed to be higher or at least 16. It didn't happen. I know I could use iron but firstly I do not have enough and secondly I have no guarantee it will work.

Please let me know if someone had similar issue and what do you think, can it be bug or I am just overreacting and schould be happy with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 14m tower?

you can get better integrity by where in/on the block you place your supports. here i used iron. when the supports are centered inside the blocks, you get the best integrity. but when i built with marble, centered & on an edge got me the best. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=29012♥♥♥♥1

Thanks. I used this trick but with core wood centered in stone blocks 2x4 (two core wood per stone block) and saw no rusult higher than those 14 m :/

Core wood doesn't improve stone building height (it's considered a lower-tier building material). You have to use wood-iron - which is an equal-tier, higher strength material - to reinforce stone.

^^ Core wood is to reinforce wood buildings without having to use rock and spoil the look.
Stone towers can get fairly high, but you need a lot of support to do it. Stone is supported by raised terrain spikes, iron (any sort, including iron-wood beams, cage parts, iron gate, etc), and trees (count as ground, but easy for enemy to destroy).

If you dig down to bedrock and raise to the max while using 3M ceilings, you can get close to 10 floors of stone only and more of wood on top of it without too much weirdness. If you go all in you can get a few more floors, eg pine trees planted on raised terrain...

the new slanted ironwood beams open up a lot more possibility.

having made a couple of towers, I am done with it. Its fun for a while, but gigantic and more than 4 level homes are exhausting to run around in and decorate and all and impractical. Ive downsized a lot, 2 - 3 levels of 10x10 floor tiles is all I need and everything is right on hand. Good luck with yours ... if you get high enough, you can get snowy roof :) Here is the biggest one I did, pre ML.
