My other pc is in the DMZ also.
I can't connect to it using the server list (it's in my local network) and so no one else outside of my network can, so likely it's not a port issue.
When I try to just generate a new world on the server I have the same problem, so it's not a corrupted world save either.
Reinstalling Valheim DS and running a file integrity check didn't solve it either.
Anyone found a solution for this?
Mind you, I don't list my dedicated server on the community MP list. So I don't know if what I said above makes a difference or not. My friends have to connect to my server directly via the game's Join IP function.
Additionally, the way I mitigate my players from knowing the exact IP address they're connected to, is by adding an A NAME record in my DNS settings for a subdomain.
Even so - if the provider changed my IP and it caused an issue how would I go about fixing it?
Quite frankly I don't have any idea what it was.
It just randomly works now
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I just tried again after weeks of giving up and i just realized my servers PC isnt showing up in my network map but it has internet connection. Maybe this is worth looking at. I am going to try and figure it out.
