Unable to join servers / have friends join after latest patch(es?)

Hello!
Ever since the last patch or two, I cannot connect to any friend's server.

Today three of my friends are playing, and when I try to connect, I cannot even try to input the password, though there is one.
This issue is not showing up for anyone else on the internet.

Simply, after selecting character & the friend's server and clicking "connect", the game throws me straight into the loading screen, and then the main screen with the message "failed to connect".

In similar fashion, if I'm hosting a server, no one can join (failed to connect.) Even if they can see the password screen unlike me, it seems I've become unable to play multiplayer Valheim.

I've tried many of the relevant seeming things suggested on the internet (verifying game files, updating drivers, relaunching, friends relaunching, etc.) Nothing has been helping this far.

I'd really love help for this. Thank you.

I have since also tried:
Setting Valheim as administrator
Flushing DNS
Restarting computer

Nothing has changed. I cannot input a password to try to join my friend's server.
Additionally, though there are currently 4 players on the server (I am watching their stream and chatting on Discord,) in Valheim, it's claiming there's only 1 person in the world.

Please help. I'd like to play the game with my friends again.

Do you have some kind of anti-virus program running in the background? Those can block incoming and outgoing connections. If you do disable it. The Windows firewall might also for some reason be blocking connections. You could check if Valheim is blocked there.

Also try to connect directly to the server by entering its IP address. I don't think this will solve it as something seems to block connections, but I'd certainly try it.

Probably the client not updated. Please let us know what your version number is. Should be in the lower righthand corner on the start menu screen. Should be 0.209.10.

Can confirm the version number is 0.209.10. Thank you for the instructions on how to check.

If you run a dedicated server, even if it's local to your machine, everytime you update the server, the actual batch job to start the server gets reset to the default values.

Please make sure that you always have a backup of the correct batch file, so you can make this the correct batch file to start the Valheim dedicated server with.

This is the last line of the Valheim dedicated server batch job in its original state:

valheim_server -nographics -batchmode -name "My server" -port 2456 -world "Dedicated" -password "secret"

You would need to adjust it to the actual world used (probably not "Dedicated") and of course update the password so it is not "secret".

I have this problem, only I can input a PW then I get the loading screen, then I get disconnected. Works fine for my friends, but not me. Also had a friend log into my Steam/Valheim, he can get in but I still cannot even when logging in through his Steam/Valheim. Done everything my group of friends and the internet suggests. Not running mods.
