Try deleting Valheim setting in the registry by going to start → type "regedit" or "registry editor", navigate to "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\IronGate\Valheim", and delete this entire Valheim folder[i.imgur.com].

Re-install the game then, but be careful to check that your installation folder doesn't have any files after uninstallation. You should also restore your drivers game profile for Valheim to default, regardless of your remembering tweaking it or not. What specs does your system have?

Don't see anything wrong with the specs, so must be software/driver issue. Have you tried resetting your drivers for Valheim profile yet[i.imgur.com]? Tried re-installing the game yet?

If those two don't work, you would probably need to uninstall your Nvidia drivers, then install them again by selecting custom installation + later selecting perform clean installation option. If you ever used Nvidia Inspector, you will need to reset default profile for Valheim there as well. Some 3rd party apps can also mess with your. Focus on recording apps and overlay apps that you might be running.

There are no general issues that would wreck the performance in such a way. Can you check is task manager how much of CPU and GPU is Valheim using when you are in the starting menu? (CPU usage column is automatically added in the task manager, but you would have to add GPU usage column). Have you checked your temps by any chance? Checked if the issue is related to a particular world or character?

Try preforming the short version of Valheim re-installation that I mentioned in Section 5 of this guide.
