Shield texture vanished

I have a shield placed on a log beam 4x, at the base of the log not the underneath part, attached to the vertical item stand, there are also 2x wooden 26* beams attached to the log beam at the same location. After resting I noticed the texture or material of red and black on the "wooden shield" vanished.
- this could be the game just loading because I have a bed next to this, I've just never noticed it before.
- solution, removed the shield and replaced it.

awesome, good to know. Do you know why I'm unable to unlock the Crystal Bow recipe? I've killed so many crystal giants and have a bunch of trophies. Haven't unlocked the recipe for some reason, do you know why?

You are probably playing with mods. There is no Crystal bow in vanilla Valheim.
